where did THAT come from? ooo yeh.. no sleep!

Okay so I just totally lost the plot and burst into tears while trying to calm DS for the millionth time.

He has been such a good sleeper and relaxed baby and then the last week he wakes in a start upset in his sleep and I havent had a block of sleep more than 1hr 45min in a week

When I was getting 4-5hrs and then feed and then 4hrs again as a nightly routine since about 6weeks till just lately.

He seems to be teething, hands in the mouth, lots of drool, red cheeks, and I can see some white buds, so is all this unsettledness just that??!?!

We co-sleep bed share, I exclusively breastfeed and I'm demand feeding.
I got him an amber necklace on Thursday and started with the Bonjela on Friday.

The Bonjela seems to work within 60sec but he still wakes up screaming and won't sleep past 2hrs. Even in the 2hrs he'll stir a little but i can usually soothe him back to sleep in 10sec. Still its waking me up every time

ARRRRRRGH losing my mind obviously due to lack of sleep because I just totally freaked and burst into tears !!

    Help? ADvice? hugs? pleeeeaase!

I used brauers teething which was great & amber necklaces are great too. I know how hard the sleep dep can be, my dd did the same thing, waking every hr-hr n a half for 6 weeks straight. I cried alot. It will pass Hun. I've heard Nurofen is better than panadol. I rarely ever give my dd anything like that but we had a cpl days where she needed something and it helped. Also chilled water in her sippy cup helped. Hope it's teething & this phase is over quickly for you!!! Hugs
Oh another thought, I'm on my phone so can't see how old he is but around 8 months they go through separation anxiety, they learn that they are separate from us. Maybe it's a little to do with that or that he's becoming mobile? Apparently that can disrupt sleep too. All these things have affected my dd sleep. Just remember it does pass. Can someone look after him for a few hrs so you can sleep? Hugs again

    Thanks Babyluv xo
I tried chilled water on his dummy and he seems to like that too.
Poor thing, I know he's tired and wants to sleep. When he wakes he gets so worked up because he is trying to sleep

could be teething and you could try a facewasher that has been in the fridge to suck on. I think it could also be a wonder week/developmental leap sleep deprivation is awful and I remember all to well the torture of it. Do you nap through the day when your LO does?

I usually nap when he does but i've been pushing myself to start up an online business last 2 weeks also and the only time I can get things done is when he sleeps

DD is the queen of ear infections and rarely gets a temp...like now even with a chronic infection
we had major issues with sleep too whenever she has fluid behind her ear drums

My dd never get a fever or temp when she has ear infections. I rake them to the dr if the teeth don't cut quickly and they are like it for a few days just to be sure. I would say it's 50/50 teething or an ear infection.

There is a huge sleep regression at around 4 months - so it could be that.

DD3 went really bad, starting to get better now at 5 months.
