    Amber teething necklaces

For those who have been thinking about amber teething necklaces and wondering whether they actually work or not... Mine arrived here yesterday and I can assure you that they most definitely DO work!

I decided to order a mother and baby set as it appeared to me that if it worked like they said, it could be really, really helpful for my arthritis.

I've been gradually getting worse and worse all week as the rain was coming. Particular finger joints in my right hand have been shockingly painful and I've started to struggle to use the mouse and keyboard. We've now had two solid days of rain and normally I'd be struggling to walk if I wasn't tossing back nurofen plus or panadiene constantly through the day.

I put mine on early yesterday afternoon when I collected the mail. By the time I went to bed I had much better use of my right hand. When I woke up this morning I was stiff and had sore knees. The stiffness is normal, the knees were nothing like as bad as I expected. Today I've been able to walk and care for Sam with no issues and no pain killers and I've even felt confident enough with my grip to load up the dishwasher and run it... And all this without taking any extra painkillers at all. Not even a panadol.

I don't know if it's doing much for Sam - it's a bit hard to tell with the bronchiolitis and all, but I know that it's doing a lot for me. Just thought I'd let people know - hearing what it has done for an adult is sometimes a bit more convincing than just seeing the difference it can make in a child.

just a quick q - does anyone know if the colour of the amber makes a difference in its effectiveness? I like the look of the paler ones more, but obviously Id get the darker ones if they worked better!!

apparently the paler ones are better than the darker ones.
I've been eying them off for myself for a while, Elise has one and it's really helped her teething!

This just might be the excuse I need to get one!!
    Thanks BW!!

I got myself one 3 months ago because i was suffering migraines everytime I oed and when AF was here....well im happy to say that i havent taken it off and have only had ONE headache..not migraine in 3 months

Mateauz wears his all the time, he now has 4 molars that i didnt hear bop out of him about....Vy's is broken so I have to buy her a new one...but I found it helped wiht her sleeping.

Yes...the lighter the better and they have more minerals in them for the skin to absorbe

i bought mine of ebay for $26 including postage and it was here from the US 3 days later the kid's ones were $12 including postage and came with magnetic safety clasp.

Hi BW, I ordered a mother daughter set for me and Belle (I have arthritis too) and I've found it's really helped me, but to be honest I don't know whether it helped Belle at all. She has 2 teeth now and while I had the necklace on her for ages before her teeth came through, I'd actually forgotten to put it back on her for a few weeks before her teeth appeared and her mood didn't appear any different at all.

I might put it back on her just incase she gets any more - can't hurt!

Does it have to be made of Baltic Amber? I've been looking around in bead shops for Baltic Amber to make my own but it's almost impossible to find. Would other forms of Amber be ok? Should I get a rough natural cut or could I get the beads that are fashioned into round beads?

Apparently it's only baltic amber works. I can't remember all the details, but there's a component that's unique to baltic amber which makes it work like this. Other types of amber do not work.

From memory - it needs to be baltic amber, the paler and cloudier the better, and the less processed the amber is, the better. If my memory serves correctly. Google will help more, but I have a wriggly baby on one knee right now!

I ordered 3, one for each Za, Kane and Harmony... I cant wait to get them!!!

I got 3 different kinds, but all pale.. Honey, Milk and Pumpkin...

Yep, I read too the paler, cloudy and unprocessed the better. I know the beads are supposed to be nice, but I got soft edged chips, hoping they work a little better...

Kane is being particilary painful lately, so I hope it does some good...

The pale lemon and honey are the best but they all release healing oils - Tube beads and different colour silks can make them less girly. Make sure you get a clasp to release with pressure
Pm Tiggerlinda if she can do something special for you she would be happy too
