Hi, this may be a little long, but I am hoping someone out there can answer my Q's.

Something is happening in Lil Mans mouth, he is 4 months old and we think it may be teeth. I can sorta see the outline of 2 bottom teeth if i look at the front of the gum. There are no bumps or white marks on the tops of the gums where the tooth (I assume) comes out. His gums are not red or inflamed looking.

BUT

He is drooling, chewing on his hands, pulling his ears, has occasional red cheeks and runny bum, will shove anything he can fit into his mouth. I took him to the docs on friday and he said teeth.

Oh and lets not forget the nighttime wake ups and screaming.....

And the bottle refusal and ensuing pain and distress.....

If i give him panadol/nurofen he is apples, happy, smiling, sleeping. Back to his old self

Today I tried Hylands with mixed results and I will persevere as I know it can take a while to build up to working strength, he is also wearing my amber bracelet (on his thigh under babylegs)

But I am worried, what if the panadol is the only thing that works? I have read that this can go on for weeks, I cant give him panadol/nurofen for weeks, can I?

I will try everything I can get my hands on and am sure we can get through the days, but what did you do at night?

How long/often can you/did you give your babies panadol?

What am I gunna do?, he hasnt really got the hand -mouth co ordination to do the teething ring thing and he hasnt started solids yet so no rusks.
