Losec Tablets... How?

I have to give my littlest man 1/2 a tablet twice a day, I haven't dealt with tablets before and never a breastfed reflux bub... What's the best way to get it into him?

I would just pop the halved tablet into a nurophen suringe thing, and then fill it with water. You have to let the tablet "disperse" in the water, so a little shake helps. Apparently it dosent have the same effect to just crush the tablet.

Yep, thats exactly what we did! I tried heaps of different ways but this was the only one that really worked. I used a pair of sharp scissors to cut the tablet in half and then dropped it into the nurofen syringe (its the only size that lets out all of the little grains of the tablet, all of the others seemed to leave half of the dissolved tablet in there). I then put the pushing part in and sucked up some water or apple juice and left it for a minute to dissolve. I gave it a big shake, stuck it in the side of DS's mouth and squirted it a little bit at a time.

We dissolve ours in 10mls of water.. it only takes 1-2 minutes to completely dissolve.. then use a dropper to administer however much you need.. in your case would be 5mls. Just whatever you do, dont crush it.. as they contain granuals that activate once they hit the stomach and crushing them you will lose the effects of the tablet.
