One tooth- how long before another

Eliza had her first tooth pop up about 4 weeks ago. There seems to be nothing much going on to show that another is on the way. Is it normal to get only one tooth and stay like that. My mother seems to think that they usually come up quickly after the first. Did your childs teeth come through quickly after the first?

Jacob's seem to come in lots of two, Bec - there may be a few days to a week in between the two IYKWIM??

It's different for every baby though!!!

Zander got 2 on the same day at 5.5months.

Then about 2wks ago he was cranky etc etc and since then 6 have popped out :shock: So between his first two and next 6 it was about 2 months.

Amy got her first tooth at 5 months and the second a few days later. We didn't even know they were coming. They are her bottom middle teeth.

Lily was teething from 3 months but never got her first tooth until 7 months, the next day she got her second one, they were the bottom middle ones. Then 2 months ago(10mths) she got 3 more up the top and now at 12 months she is getting her 6th one, it is almost through.
