Question Osteo or Chiro for reflux?

DS 5 mths has reflux and did see an Osteopath for a few visits up till 3 mths.
She said he was very tight up around the neck, shoulder area, which we were already aware of because we can see it. He has improved, but still has clicky shoulders, and head seems slightly squashed to one side (ever so subtle but I notice it). I have learnt that the neck upper shoulder area is closely connected to the upper digestive area, so perhaps this is adding to his reflux problem (surely not this alone causes it??).

What are my best options for treatment? Should I continue to see an osteo or go to a Chiro (i read the thread saying what success some had had with it)? Or is there somewhere else I should take him?

DH thinks I should continue going to osteo again since thats what we started on...?
what do you think? what do you think made a difference to you bub?

Personally, leave him be. It will get better.

But.... if u must take him to have treatment.. if the osteo is working, stay there. I tooK DD to a chiro.. did nothing for it.

Is he vommiting?? or just in pain?

i had great re****s with DDs reflux with an osteo. Are you in Melb? pm if you want her details.

Personally if i wasn't seeing any improvement for myself or my baby after 3 treatments anywhere, i'd be looking somewhere else.

Salsa - we had similar problems, DD2 had a torticollis (head turned to one side due to muscles on one side of neck shorter than others, and clicky shoulders - you'd hear it when you picked her up!) AND had reflux. We took her to an osteopath - three treatments and the clicky shoulders were gone, the head was straight and the reflux resolved over that time too. I personally would stick with the osteo because it's so much gentler than chiro and in my experience, works!!

maybe talk to your osteo about it?

a good friend of mine took her DD to a chiro and she was able to stop giving her the reflux meds after only a few visits!

    all the best
