    Possibly teething? Too young?

My son is 4 mths old and for the last week he has been very clingly and unsettled, drooling to the point where his shirt is soaked, rubbing his face/cheeks alot, chewing on everything imaginable, refusing feeds and his gums are hard and have ridges. They arent supposed to teeth yet so I dont know whether to get some teething aides or not.

Is it possible he is teething? What should I get for him?

    Hi Anna,

Its definitely possible that he is teething.

Milo got his first tooth at 3.5 months old (as did my brother and I)
He's now 13 months and has 10 so far.

I didn't notice his first tooth until he bit down on my finger and I though 'hmm that was a bit sharp'..hehe. My mum had been telling me for at least 4 weeks that he was teething, but I dismissed her and said its way too early for any of that.

They don't normally recommend bonjella and that sort of gel-type stuff for under 4 months, so I gave him a clean, cold face washer to mouth (he loves this anyway) amd some teething toys and books wiot the rubber corners etc for biting on.
