My DD had reflux but that was nearly 18 yrs ago! She had to have mylanta after a feed which worked really well. She grew out of it by about 1 from memory or maybe earlier.
Put the head of her cot/cradle on phone books or similar to help, I found if she was head higher than body she was better.
My ds had reflux, wasn't diagnosed until 3mt health nurse check though. I thought it was normal for all babies to scream that much
He was on medication until approx 7mts. Upright was the best position to keep him in. He had silent reflux, so not much of the spew, but the vomit going up and down is oesophogus and burning as it did. Ouch!
I think around 4-5mts we bought a walker and removed the wheels so he could use it as a play gym thingy and be upright without having to be held. A cheaper option
He used to have meds morning and night, I think we noticed an improvement after a few days. We also kept up with the general fixes, phone books under the cot (the actual cot, not the mattress), kept him as upright as reasonable for feeds, lots of broken feeds with lots of burping in between. I think from memory we started solids around 5mts coz it sits heavier in the stomach. In saying that though, he was grabbing for our food and desperately trying to eat 'big people' food so he was ready.
Hope this help! Good luck and hope it all settles down soon!
