    Nan AR formula advice

My lil man was diagnosed with silent reflux at 4wks old, very unsettled baby. Now on 20mg losec a day.................hes awesome now. But hes started vomitting alot. Tried him on S26 AR, it made him unsettled again so im guessing it upset his tummy. Stopped that and put him back on his S26gold, good again but vomitting alot again. So on advice from the chemist we have put him on Nan AR, hes awesome on it, very settled, rarely vomitting..............but hes now pooing heaps. Like up to 4 times a day. Is this ok do you think? They are quite runny too. He doesnt have a bug or anything though, hes really settled and happy, just a poop machine lol. I can only see it being the nan ar because it started when he started having it. Im not sure if i should be concerned about this or not? I really like this formula for him................other than the pooping.

    TIA

When I switched DD from s26 to Nan, the exact same thing happened. It was like she was back on breastmilk.

It will most likely settle down a bit, but there's nothing wrong.

Thats exactly what its like!! Like he is on breastmilk. Is your DD still on the nan?

I just spoke to my CHN and she said that nan is less in casein (sp) and she thinks DS might be a bit casein sensitive (how that works when he was ok on s26 gold but not s26 AR i dont know) and that pooping like a bf baby when hes on formula is a good thing and normal and hes all good.

Thanks for your reply, its much appreciated

Yes, still on Nan. When she was on s26 she's couldn't poop at all, it was horrible stuff.

After about a week or so she settled down to a poop every day. She's on solids now and poops every 2nd day, which is still very acceptable.

Love bub's name, by the way. :-)

Ahhhh ok, hes coming up to a week being on nan now, so hopefully he will be like ur lil girl and settle down to one poops a day soon too.

He's certainly heaps more settled on nan so i would like to keep him on it.

Nawww thanks about his name, your lil girl has a pretty name too
