    teething?!

My Nina is almost 6 months, and I think she may be teething, but would love to know what you all think.

    These are her symptoms:
chewing fingers (especially on left side)
waking up crying (which she NEVER does)
settles with panadol or Brauer teething relief
Shoving EVERYTHING she can in her mouth!
Generally more unsettled and clingy overall

I know these are fairly broad, which is why I'd be interested in your thoughts...I can't feel any ridges or see any blue/white spots in her gums...

    Thanks!

How funny is that, my Nina is doing all the above! And is only a couple of weeks older than your's!!
Anyway, back to your question, it is possible that her teeth are starting to move and becoming uncomfortable for her. How does she go with a cold teething ring, my Nina loves them! Anything cold really. That's how I knew for sure she was teething, cause that would settle her. As with the waking at night crying .. hhmmm ... still trying to sort that one out myself so can't help you there.
It is possible that she is teething and going through a growth spurt too, might explain the clingy-ness.
But know that it's very normal for her to be doing all these things and hopefully they'll come through soon without causing you both too much grief.

Our little man has similar symptoms too... Just in the last week he's started waking in the middle of the night a few times screaming (in pain?) then goes back to sleep. He's been biting/chewing on anything & everything for a few weeks now, drools heaps, pulls on his ears constantly and seems to be unsettled generally. I'm guessing it's teething but I really have no idea. Riley doesn't like the cold teething rings but he does like them if they haven't been in the fridge.
Good luck! I hope it settles down soon...
