My 6 week old baby girl is not feeding well from breast or bottle. I have been combination feeding since birth and haven't had any problems with her feeding but since last sunday she has pretty much refused to drink each meal. I am lucky to get 60 mls from the bottle or 5 minutes at the breast. She was diagnosed with silent reflux at 2 weeks and was going much better since being on Zantac and Infant Gaviscon but something changed and she screams after drinking the first 30 - 40 mls of bottle, she is happy and sleeping well but to get her to drink even 80 mls takes about an hour of trying. When I initially feed her on the breast or bottle she is ok but as soon as she stops she will not take it again and screams until I sit her back up. I had our 6 week paed appt last Friday and he said she has been mis diagnosed with silent reflux and said to take her off Zantac and not to worry about her as long as she is producing wet nappies but I am very worried and can tell that she is losing weight. A baby her age and weight should be on approx 900 mls a day but I think she is having about 350mls. Has any one got any suggestions? the other thing that has changed is I began my 1st period today (strange in itself I think?) I'm not sure if this would have anything to do with her being off her food?
