    Vomiting caused by teething?

    Can teething cause vomiting?
I'm sitting here with a currently sleeping but generally quite miserable little boy on my lap after getting out of bed when he vomited milk all over us both!! He's never been a spewy boy, but my partner reckons she can feel molars coming through - could this cause the vomiting? I was thinking it might be from overfilling his little belly from the booby comfort sucking but I thought they could suck differently so they didn't get milk unless they were hungry?

I don't know if it's a proven teething symptom, but my DS2 and DD have both done little spews just before getting a tooth. When they would do one I'd know a tooth was coming through because neither of them were prone to vomitting any other time.

These are not little spews he's been bringing up everything back up including water and BM since 4am. Trying to have a sleep now but he feeds to sleep so I'm concerned that the BM in his belly will cause another spew
I'm starting to think this is excessive vomiting.

Sounds like he might have a virus rather than the teething. Teething never made DD spew (shes just over 2) but every baby is different.

He went straight to sleep so I don't think too much milk went down. He's been asleep for a few minutes now so hopefully it'll stick for a bit.
There's a doctor nearby so I'll call if he still seems very off when he wakes. Thanks.

sounds like a tummy upset rather than teething. My DS is chomping on his hands so much that he gags though. He does not wake up like it, just when he is chomping on them.

My kids sometimes have a little spew when they are about to get a tooth even though they didn't spew much in general. But only a mouthful or so. From the description it sounds like your little man has a tummy bug

Thanks for the replies girls - he was better the next day I think so I figure it was just a brief tummy upset.
