I was told by the doctor and the paediatrician in emergency at the hospital on the weekend that they think my 13 month old DS has colic. He had been screaming non-stop for 3 nights in a row, wouldn't drink from a cup or bottle (would take one suck, let it all dribble out and then start screaming). He's be sitting in the highchair, happily eating eating a sandwich or yoghurt and then be screaming in pain the next minute.
We have an appt to go back to the paediatrician on Wedneday but im wondering if anyone else has experience with colic in older babies?
I havent known anyone that has it but DD has Infacol in everyone of her bottles as she gets it bad. It does say on the box/bottle that you can give it beyond 2 years of age, so im guessing yeh it is possible. Maybe have a go with the Infacol with your DS? You can get it in the supermarket or at a chemist.
My son who is 6 months has similar behaviours..but not to extream as a trip to the hospital..but he has started solid foods..
The problem that im having that he is waking up screaming in the early hrs of the morn.. i will here wing gurgling around his ribs once he has some cooled boiled water i can hear the wing pushing further down his back..im guessing it is colic...brauers dosnt seem to work..ran out of infocol
it will be interesting to see what the pead. says..im going to see if donnalix drops help or infants friend helps otherwise i guess i trip the the doc will be soon heeded.. good luck im wondering if this is going to end as its been going on for a few months now...
