    Don't you just love...

    ...holding a sleeping baby!

My heart is melting just thinking about it.

DD is fed to sleep at all the sleeps atm, and my heart just flutters when she pulls off the nipple with a sigh and drifts off into la la land...Ahhhh....what a way to end the day!

I am so clucky...geez. Cluck, cluck!

Just wanted eveyone to remember why we comfort our babies to sleep. Its darn hard at times, and yes, I haven't had a full nights sleep since she was born, but isn't it worth it?!

Yes, oh I just love it. Snuggling into her and just holding her! So peaceful, and so safe in my arms! It is beautiful!

I was just thinking today how it's funny that sometimes we just will and will and plead with our babies to sleep so we can have some me time, and then once they fall asleep we just don't want to put them down. Or is it just me

I have just departed from DD's room where I held her for about 20 mins while she settled herself down to sleep.

She's never been a big feed-to-sleeper (dunno why!) but always seems to need to be held/rocked for her afternoon sleep and at night time. Sometimes, yes, it is frustrating and I have been bashed in the throat a few times when she's worked up (ouch) but when she's lying quiet, studying me, holding her little stuffed toy, then starts to fight sleep but eyes spring open to make sure I'm still there and still watching... then she snuggles in and goes to sleep and ahh, nothing like it in the world.

Yes, I miss it so much already. I would feed DS, and the wrap him and snuggle until he drifted off.

DS is only just 6 months, and a couple of weeks back he decided he no longer wants to be held when its time to go to bed. The only way he will now go to sleep is if he goes in his cot and he settles himself. Which is great, I am not complaining... but I am sooo missing the cuddles.

I know exactly what you mean Anna. Apart from the BF ( no more BF for me) holding my beautiful sleeping DS is just magic. Sometimes I find myself sitting there cuddling him & watching his little face long after he's asleep just because I love it so much. Sometimes I think I'm putting off trying to get him to self settle because I miss the cuddles. I say, he will just cry if I put him down so I just keep holding him. I don't mind much
