DD used to be so good at going to sleep. We had a period where she would go down at 7:30 and sleep until 6am every night. But for the past maybe 3 months it's just been getting harder and harder.
She's 10.5m old, has a great routine at daycare and I do the same thing every night but most nights she will start to drift off to sleep at 8pm which is always my aim, but then 10-15 mins later will wake up with heaps of energy and even though she's rubbing her eyes etc she just refuses to go to sleep until sometimes 11:30pm!
During the day she will sometimes have a 30min nap in the morning and then a 1.5-2 hour nap in the afternoon. When we get home from daycare at about 5:30 we have some play time, then dinner, then 7pm is bath time. Straight after the bath its bottle & story time which finishes at about 8pm with her drifting off to sleep, but then what I wrote above happens most of the time!
I also find that when she fights sleep and ends up in bed by 10 or 11pm she will wake during the night at about 3:30am but if she does happen to go to sleep by 8pm she usually sleeps about 8-11 hours.
I sort of tried control crying once and she made herself throw up everywhere so now we try everything except control crying.
It's so annoying and frustrating.
She's also getting quite clingy and wont go to sleep unless she's being cuddled. I don't mind that sometimes, but I think she's getting far too dependent on being cuddled.
