When/ how did you stop feeding your baby to sleep?
Just as the title asks......
I'm very aware that missy isn't going to do this forever and am curious as to what other people have done - or what the babies have done themselves.
I am happy to do this for as long as she wants/ needs and have a feeling that missy is going to be the one to tell me enough is enough - there have been a few times over the past few weeks that she's pulled away as if annoyed, stuck her fingers in her mouth and gone to sleep
I'm also reading over Sleeping like a baby again and might try the baby steps plan thing when we get back from our trip overseas. Has anyone done this successfully? It seems like a lovely way to get baby to sleep without being fed.
ha when you find out let me know! I was just in the bath and Lucy crawled up and went ape **** at my boobs! I cant even walk around without a top on, she goes nuts!
Yeah, I'm not going to try it for a few months yet - even longer! Missy needs to be fast asleep before she'll even let me pop her over to her cot. She is so wise to it and could probably sleep all night with boobie in her mouth!
DD2 is a bit different she started to fall asleep on the boob at around 12 months!! for both day and night sleeps, the night feed it stopped a few months later, but she still feeds to sleep during the day at 19 months and tbh i wont stop her as im worried she'll stop day sleeping! its only a problem if you think its a problem
Still feeding to sleep here at 18months, they are actually the only feeds she still has (one before nap, one before bed and 2-3 overnight) so I imagine it will remain like this until she weans altogether. It is such a fuss free and peaceful way to fall asleep, it will probably be more of a hassle when she stops!
