Mr nearly 2 wakes with night terrors

My babe Mr Harper, wakes constantly with horrifing night terrors. And im not quite sure how to get him over it, does it happen with age or is it something serious. His bedtime routine is all peacefull, daddy lays with him and read his favourite books then he falls asleep, but then throught the night makes his way into our bed and even whilst in our bed he still wakes screaming.... And im not quite sure I thought it would past but since Harper we have also had another little man well he is actually 8months who sleeps perfectly but because of Harpers intense screams the whole house is woken.... Any suggestions will be wonderfulxxx Sincerely worriedxxxx

Hi my DS 4 used to have night terrors, he seems to have outgrown them (touch wood) there does'nt seem to be anything you can do but let them pass, he appeared to be awake when it was happening bolt upright etc, but completely unresponsive, very distressing to me as his mummy. I think all you can do is try to comfort him, I used to lay down with him and hope he felt my presence deep down in his subconcious.
Good luck, I think it is jsut a matter of time, oh my DS seemed completely unaware the following day???
