Okay, so I've heard some good things about Pinky McKay but haven't got as far as reading any of her stuff. I'm too busy reading about birth and breastfeeding and haven't quite got to the baby sleep stuff yet...
Pinky is giving a Baby Sleep Seminar and my doula has suggested I go. But it's $35 a person, which I have to be honest is a little prohibitive for us, especially if both DH and I attend.
Has anyone heard Pinky speak? Is it worth the money, or would I be just as well served by buying her book/s? Would it make much difference if I decided to go without DH, to save on money, or do you think DH really should be there as well?
I guess what I'm saying is - we will go, and we will spend the money on both of us going, but only if we know it's going to be worth $70...so is it worth it?
If you don't have the time to read her book then I'd say splash out a bit and attend the seminar, it'll be money well spent. I had her over for a consult before DS was born and she has great common sense advice, it wasn't cheap but I'm really glad I did it. Perhaps if you can't justify spending all that money for both of you to go, maybe you just go and take notes so you can relay the general jist of things back to your DH?
She really is excellent!
and sorry to answer you question...worth it! for sure
if you're passionate about gentle parenting then there isn't anyone better than Pinky to get advice from
