I usually resettle DD for her day naps if she will. She is rocked or fed to sleep. She then usually wakes between 45 mins to 1 hr and I pick her up and rock her again and she goes back to sleep. Sometimes I can put her back down and sometimes I can't. She will then continue to sleep til her total sleep is 1.5-2hrs. She has 2 naps a day.
Night sleeps are terrible STILL!! She wakes AT LEAST 3 times a night. I feed her back to sleep whenever she wakes bc it's the easiest way and I do not have the energy to get up!
I'm wondering if me resettling during the day is effecting her night time sleep. Maybe she keeps waking wanting to be rocked or held like I do during the day? I know if she's tired she can go into that next sleep cycle bc she sometimes rolls around a bit and settles again and sleeps for 1.5hrs on her own. So should I stop it? Will she learn that if she wakes up and doesn't go back to sleep I'm not going to rock her so she better keep sleeping if she's tired, lol.
I usually just resettle bc I don't want to deal with grumpiness and want her to have good sleep bc she's not sleeping well at night. Maybe she's getting too much day sleep and would sleep better at night if I let her have shorter naps??
