co-sleeping in winter

Just wondering how others do it. How do you dress bubs? Where in the bed do they sleep (in between you, on one side etc)? I'm after some ideas to see if there's something we could be doing better.

DD tends to sleep towards the head of the bed to keep above the covers. This means she gets cold though and will sleep on my head or on DH's to keep warm. I trialled a grobag which made a big difference to her sleep (she now sleeps through ). So I now know she's warm enough. But she still sleeps above the covers which doesn't leave a lot of head space for DH or I.

I am between two kids. DD (2.5) has flanalette jarmies and sleeps generally acorss the bed with her feet kicking my back all night! DS (10 weeks) is in a grobag and starts off in a side car cot, but ends up in bed with me, and I put him in line with my breasts, but with the covers folded under (so they don't flick up onto him). I dress faily warmly, but tend to snuggle under the doona and have my head in line with both kids once DS has finished feeding.

Cosleeping in winter is the best...but poor DH is on his lonesome in a single next to DD (which is technically her bed!)

Ds is in flannel jammies in between df and I, at the top of the bed. I scoot down so my face is where his feet are, df is 6 foot 6 so takes the whole bed, we each have our own doona. If ds is cold he wiggles closer to one of us. When dd comes in she will usually put her head down the other end of the bed and go between df and I, feet to feet with ds.

It was soooo much easier and more comfy with just one child! Lol.

DD is in a grobag and starts off in the cot which is right next to bed without the side and she ends up in bed with me and lays on my chest and once DH has gone to work she sleeps on his side on her belly. Although when she was younger I found her under my pillow once!!! Bad mummy!!!

DD is in a long sleeved sleeping bag by babykids and has quite a few layers underneath. We have just started her sleeping in her cot but every morning, early hrs she ends up in bed next to me, not in the middle. She snuggles next to me, level with my boobies and I sleep with my arm around her.

i have tended to wear a jumper or dressing gown to bed so I don't need to pull the blankets up so much.

I have her on either side depending on what boob she had last, lol. If I am awake at the end of the feed I try to move her up so she's away from the doona a bit and I wriggle down so I can have the covers up to my neck! But more often than not I end up falling asleep and she just stays cuddled up to me and I wake up cold.

She snuggles next to me, level with my boobies and I sleep with my arm around her.

I do the same with my DS, he is snuggled next to me, and I swap sides when I feed so he could end up on either side.

He wears a onesie, but his hands have been getting very cold during the night so I have started to put mittens on him. I have the blanket over my shoulders, then diagonally across him so they are not covering his face.
