Cool *sneaks in to ask a few questions* on shorter cycles

I am so used to having a 28 day cycle thanks to the pill, AF returned 4 months ago after Bf'ing ended.

So I am doing some basic charting , seeing as I was on the pill for 10+ years, was off it for two months and got pregnant on the second month. And on it was always the same. I never had much of an idea about it b4 the pill, so had no idea what a "normal" cycle length was for me

So you can imagine my shock when I have realised that I was having a pretty regular 26 day cycle (me thinking I was always going to be at least 28/29 days, then this month it was 25 *sigh*.

I haven't been on the mini pill for nearly 12 months, just been using alternative methods of contraception

I have been checking CM and was noticing the EWCM around day 12 ish, but going to have to start paying a bit more attention to this if I am thinking of swaying one way over another

    Questions are...

On shorter cycles when did you O?
If you suceeded is catching the worm do you know what did you DTD and whether it was a boy or girl?
How short is too short for cycle lengths? I don't think there is anything too short about 25/26 days but I don't think I want it any shorter for a few reasons

If anyone can answer my questions it would be hugely appreciated

Just took a look at my positive chart from 2007 when Jett was conceived. Like you I still don't know what a normal cycle is for me, I always thought that it was 28 days until I figured out that it actually must have been shorter, either 26 or 27 days.

So my chart appears that I was clear of my period from day 8, day 12 was when FF charted my ovulation, and I was temping then too so I have to agree with it. I on day 10, 12 (Ovulation Day), 13 and 15 (JIC!!) And tested on day 23 to get my first and of course as to be expected in gender swaying thoughts, we conceived a boy.

As for this conception I wasn't temping and really still have no clear idea of how long my cycle was or when I O'd. My cycles were not clear and did not regulate since its return in January but once again we got our first cycle (sort of) trying. We on day 10 and day 16 so going by my edd it appears that I once again o'd on day 12 or perhaps 13. Smack bang in the middle of the the two BD'ing sessions!! You'll have to wait until May to find out the gender result of that one though!!

    Thanks girls

MT, I think that maybe days 11/12 might be the goer for us... if we are thinking blue, it is always a bit tempting to go earlier just to increase the chances of getting UTD

I wish I recorded what happened last time as I thought it was on O time but must have been earlier.

Olive that link worked thankyou! It is great to hear of the shorter cycles being sucessful, even though mine aren't that short. Just shorter than I expected, guess we get more chances to try in a year

I noticed too that you get EWCM for a few days, not just O'day which is what I thought last time as well

Thankyou both so much for replying
