My DH and I are TTC our second child. As I had a miscarriage in August 2008 I am feeling rather anxious about everything. I am eating healthy, exercising and taking the Blackmores conceive well vitamins. However I still have 1 or 2 weak coffees a day! is that ok or should I just cut it out completely?
I have been looking on the internet for info and there is lots of contradictions. Also when I went to the GP and asked this question she said it was ok.

I am sorry to hear of your loss.
I am in the same boat as you - TTC # 2 and also just suffered an early loss at 5w 5d. I love my coffee and was thinking it will be fine but I know I will be nervous when I fall preg again....but my doc says one or 2 coffees a day is fine too and that it makes no diff. So I guess you have to go with what is goin got make YOU feel better. We all know a relaxed & happy Mum is most important during pregnancy!
Hi FirstBub, because there seems to be so much conflicting advice I erred on the side of caution. When TTC#2 I only had coffee (I am a strong short black kind of a girl!) when I had my period. When TTC and preg I have none. I just think in a couple of years time the recommendation will change as more studies are done to completely avoid it - just like alcohol was ok for 1-2 glasses a week during preg when I was preg with DS, now its off the menu completely.
