    Acupuncture and TCM

    Hi
Is there anyone who has used acupuncture and TCM while TTC ? Was it helpful. I am seeing a lady in St Kilda road who specialises in fertility. It's quite expensive. But haven't found any result even after 2 months. Not only that this month I dint find any fertile CM and my periods were very light

Hello and welcome to belly belly.

I did acupuncture and tcm (though I'm hopeless at taking the tablets so it didn't last long for me and just stuck to acupuncture). I was pretty religious about it, doing it twice a week. It took me 5 months and I got pregnant.

Actually just before I started the tcm I used a Korean tcm (not sure if it would technically be tkm..) and he gave me a months worth of herb drinks, tasted gross but I don't know if that's what could have kick started things for me as well as the acupuncture.

I went from not having a period for 90 days to slowly getting into the 40,35 mark.

For me I had decided I would give it 3 months to see if I noticed a difference in myself (periods, emotions etc), I saw some improvement and so kept going.

What therapy is your practitioner using?

Thanks little_o. I think I will give one more month. I went there for acupunture but my Chinese practitioner seemed to be more interested in treating with the herbs along with acupuncture. At that time I was ready to try anything to get pregnant.within one week I started seeing difference in enery levels. From temperature charting she told me I am ovulating. But as I said before my periods became very light. This mont I just had it for a day and spotting after that. I had 4 days of spotting before the periods also.i dint find ant fertile Cm. So I am worried now whether the herbs are having a negative affect on me . Has anyone used dr christine Cui in melbourne for acupunture an TCM?
