you definitely want to have sex every 2 days or so especially just before ovulation and on ovulation day.. this is the best chance of catching the egg!! of course it isnt always so easy...

It took me and my partner 3 months even though we're young, healthy etc. Read up on the website suggested above and find out when you're most likely to fall pregnant then go like rabbits around that date LOL.
I found I put way too much stress on myself concentrating on getting pregnant, i was devastated when i wasn't the first 2 months - which is ridiculous really because I'd been on the pill for almost 10 years. It's unreasonable to expect it to happen in an instant because it probably wont.
Once i stopped just centreing my life around conceiving a baby - not to mention freaking partner out about 'I'm most fertile now, quick' and just relaxed and thought of other things (work, friends, family etc) we fell pregnant.
I previously fell pregnant which was unplanned. It happened in August and i was pretty shocked and without being able to think about things my Mother forced me into getting an abortion. Now even though i am turning 22, and can make my own decisions, i was silly to let my mother force me into something that i wanted to keep and i am against abortions. Anyway i got the abortion on the 16th September 08 and bled after it for a week. I talked to my partner how i wanted to keep it and he wanted to as well so we are trying again as we are both financially stable and ready to have a family young while we are ahead. I used to be on the Depo for 3 years but have been off it for about a year and got my period back regularly in a matter of a few months and before falling pregnant was getting it on the first of each month. Now after the abortion i have no idea when i will become fertile again or get my next period and i have no idea when i will ovulate so i can try and become pregnant again. It has been 21 days since the abortion and i was told by a doctor i will be fertile straight away and get my period regulary but am just concerned.
Please do not put me down for what has happened. I have been through alot with work and family over what happened and just want to put it behind me.
I am pretty sure an abortion is like a miscarriage with d&C. Please check this with your doc. After my m/c doc told me to take the day of the d&c as the first day of my cycle. Therefore Ovulation should happen roughly day 14 from the day of the procedure (assuming you have normal regular cycles).
I fell pregnant 2 wks after my d&c. My doc told me to wait 3 months before ttc to allow time for healing etc, but my bubba had other ideas.
My advice would be check with your doctor, and tell him/her of your intentions to ttc. This wasy they can check your health etc. Start to temp and observe cerivcal mucus. this way you can pinpoint when to dtd.
A sperm can live up to 5 days before Ovulation, but the egg will only live for 24 hours. Therefore it is important to dtd prio to Ovulation or on the day of O.
Thank you BekZ. That gives me hope. I was having regular periods and they would come at the start of each new month which was great as they were on time and my body was back in a routine after being on the depo for so long. I thought that since it has been 21 days since the abortion that i would have ovulted already or should be soon since my period is due in a weeks time or even less but i have not noticed and mucus or anything. I have been having sex every 2 to 3 days since a week after the abortion but still have not noticed any signs of ovulating. I know my body may be confused since the abortion so may take a whole to fall pregnant again. Just hope i am lucky enough to become pregnant again soon.
