BF and TTC...can your period begin for a few cycles then disappear again??

Hi everyone!! I'm not exactly TTC but I have a question and I thought this might be the best place for it.

I've been BF DS for 11 months now and my period returned in August, and was regular next cycle as well. However it has gone MIA again!! I have done 2 preg tests, both neg, also I don't "feel" preggers. I am now 7 days overdue.

So can your periods go away again after they have begun, maybe because of increased BF's? I always thought once it was back it was back to stay (unless fell pregnant of course!!)

so i am a bit confused.any help would be appreciated.

the same thing happened to me. i got 2 afs after ds was born, then it just stopped for about 4 months and then i fell pg again. i think it just takes some time for them to form a rhythm again iykwim?

thanks for your reply . so i am not alone. I just don't want to keep wasting money on pg tests waiting for it to return!!!
