BFN but no AF!!!??

hey amsta, i posted yesterday, but got lost somehow !

soooo, how'd it go?

Hey there girls..

did a HPT last night and got another faint line..

did a HPT this morning using confirm + and got almost a full second line!!!!! it was still a little faint but im guessing that means positive???
tried to book into the dr's for an appointment but the receptionist was really rude to me and said there were no appointments this today and if i wanted to get in i should have rung at 8:30 this morning! im like i did but it was engaged..
so any way i have to ring again tomorrow morning to try and get in apparently she is booked up until monday!!! arrghhhh
hubby hasnt said much other than i think your UTD.. but i think he i waiting for the confirmation....
what do i do now? i dont even feel pregnant now that i have my BFP hahahahahaha!
when will symptoms kick in and what should i do... ultra sound or what aghhh there are soo many questions!

Any idea when your due? Your gp will prob send you for a dating scan anyway :)

i havent had my period since sep 3. but i think i ovulated on the 17th i think and i had some spotting around then.. i got a blood test the 24th or 25th and it was neg.. so im not sure..
july some time???

don't worry about lack of symptoms, you maybe one of the lucky ones like me who have very little. sometimes they kick in around 6-7 weeks.

sounds like you did ov around the 17 if the BT was neg on the 24 and you have a BFP now.

way to go. happy and healthy preg. try not to stress now. it will be no probs if you don't see your doc for weeks, :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
if you want a dating scan i'd try and wait until you think you are 7-8 weeks that way you should see a lovely :heartbeat:

try to relax, and look after yourself.

thanks soo much teddy.. it feels soo unrealistic at the moment i cant beleive that this is actually happening..after only one month of giving it ago!! (maybe i am fertile!)

i am just plotting along.. drinking heaps or water.. eating well thort if i cant get into dr's ill just go next week sometime.. no rush now i guess!

i really hope all of you are not far behind me!!!

Congrats Amsta. It sounds like you might have O'd later than you think if you are only showing + now after that negative BT a while back. If I were you I'd ask for a dating scan so you will know at what stage of pregnancy you are.

Don't worry about lack of symptoms - it could be too early for them or you might just be one of the lucky ones who gets hardly any.

yeh my dr had meantioned a dating scan last time i saw her.. are they very accrate?

You'd have to be what they class as at least 3 or 4 weeks pregnant for a HPT to show positive. That of course would not explain all those weird symptoms you had earlier though.

I'm just thinking that seeing it didn't show in a HPT or a BT back then you can't have been pregnant at that time therefore it's likely you just O'd later & got pregnant later in the cycle than you expected to. A dating scan will confirm this (or prove that theory completely wrong if you are further along).

Dating scans are pretty accurate, usually you have one if you've had a long cycle or a suspected pregnancy that hasn't shown up in earlier tests or if you are having an NT scan (to make sure you get it done right on 12 weeks).

I will be very interested to see how it all turns out. I had 3 pregnancies last year & therefore was in three different belly buddy groups at different times. In that time I saw several women that were at completely different stages of pregnancy to what they thought they were once they had an early scan done. Some were maybe a week out one way or the other but I've also seen people up to 3 weeks out from the date they thought they were & they had to switch buddy groups. I was very envious of the lady who went from 10 weeks to 13 weeks overnight, not so the one who went from 8 weeks to 6 weeks.

Best of luck with the doctor's visit. I'm sure the BT will come back + this time.

yes my body has been very confusing over the past 9 weeks! but i guess we got the positive in the end and maybe (most possibly) my symjptoms that i was having were all n my head.. i think alot of women start thinking about it way to much.. and to be hoenst over the past 3 weeks i have been sooo over that fact that i didnt know what was going on.. i have just forgotten about the TTC thing..
hubby and ijsut decided to have fun if it didnt happen it didnt we would look serously into it in the next 4 or 5 months. this was the girst cycle without using condoms so we have been extremely lucky..
im thinking im probably only 3 or 4 weeks like you are mainly because of the neg blood test.. (soo werid!) boobs are starting to be rather sore but thats about it.. cant say im tired.. i work and study so im always tired hahaha..
to be honest hubby and i were expecting AF until hubby saw faint line yesterday.. he thort that meant it was neg. hahahaha! so we are still dealing with the shock to be hoenst it doesnt feel real and im sure many ladies can relate to that.. but im sure b4 too long it will all become very very real!

Amsta that is FANTASTIC news!!!! Sounds like you went through EXACTLY the same thing I did with this pregnancy! I wouldn't worry about how far you are along yet. Symptoms usually start about 5-7 weeks. My bb's were the first thing to indicate too with my first pg! SOOOOOOOOO sore! The scan will definitely tell you. I had NO idea how far along we were. I actually thought we would be due on 16th April but our scan has said 10th April so we're going by the scan. They are quite accurate if you get one done about 6 weeks along.....good luck with everything. So glad I could watch your journey to a BFP! xxxxxxx

girls got into the dr's this morning and did another pee test.. the pee test showed yet another faint positive. but apparently some times the tests done show a positive as dark as the neg line.. any way she sent me off for a blood test and i get the results this afternoon.. also booked me in for an ultra sound tomorrow morning.. we are hoping it will show something.. but very well aware if im not too far along it may not show any thing yet..
fingers are crossed for a good result now :) hubby now excited with more news from dr and wants to come to scan tomorrow !

girls i am starting to feel a little excited now that i have had 4 BFP tests with different brands.. but i guess ill find out tomorrow. no more AF's for a few months maybe !?! hehehe

hey all!! how are we all going?? any further news on your TTC??
i got a positive with my blood test yesterday!! yay!!! and im off for an ultra sound this morning to try and determine the due date.. although we are fully prepared that we might not see any thing!!!
but hopefully we will!
hope every one is doing good im so pleased to have an answer as to why i dont have my AF!!!

i had my ultra sound and it didnt show any thing.. so im assuming i am too early although it has shown that my uterus is thickening.. which is a good sign apparently..

but she did and internal ultra sound as well..and when she pushed on my bellie it was tender.. now i have cramps!!! is this normal
