    Breastfeeding and Conception

Hi, I am trying to fall pregnant again, but I am still breastfeeding my 15 month old daughter approx once per day. I went off the mini pill two months ago and have had my period twice and ovulated once. I would like to keep breastfeeding as I still enjoy it, but want to fall pregnant as soon as possible. Any advice?

If you are ovulating, you're on the right track!
There are definitely ways to do it, maybe you need to regulate your cycle through herbs (vitex etc) or just giving your body a chance to catch up

    Good luck

If you're having regular, ovulatory cycles then you can certainly conceive. The same general 'rules' apply when breastfeeding. Lots of practice

I got pregnant with my 3week old son while breastfeeding DD on our first try. Wish we had got more "practice" in as i was already sick at 3.5 weeks pregnant. DD was 14 months or so and feeding 3-4 times a day and at least that much at night. i had had AF back since DD was 6 months as well. Good luck.

I got AF back when DS1 was 6 months old and I started TTC when he was 8 or 9 months old and got preg straight away and DS2 is now 18 months old.

    good luck
