    Using the Shettles method

    Hi there,

DH and I have just started TTC # 2 and thought we'd try the Shettles method. I'm not due for AF until next Tuesday but have done 2 tests both so I'm thinking no luck this month. We thought we'd give it one more month using the Shettles method (DTD 3-4 days before ovulation) and still if no luck then DTD right on ovulation, but I was wondering if anyone else has used the method and how long it took to conceive?

    Goodluck to everyone !!

    Cheers, Bec

We used Shettles method for our boy & girl. Once I got a cycle established (was treated for PCOS) we fell 1st attempt with DS. And fell 2nd attempt with DD.

Happy to have either this time, and this cycle is our 3rd proper attempt (I say "proper attempt" because my PCOS has reared its ugly head again and been mucking up my cycles)

I temped for 6 months and figured when I Oed, I have very regular cycle which helped.
I would then DTD 2-3 times over a 5 day period 3-4 days pre O, and 24 hrs post O.
I fluked a PG first go, but that ended in m/c, it then took me 6 months to conceive DS1. Then when we decided to try again we again fluked it first go, but it also ended in m/c, It then took another 5 months to conceive, I'm currently 12 weeks and all is well.
