    TTC #1 April 2007

    Hi All,

I'm all new to this and need the lingo! I know TTC is trying to conceive.

I am 28, almost 29 and My Partner is 39. We are TTC #1 next month.

I went off the pill in February and got my period straight away. Now I just have to wait until I get my next period next Monday (bearing in mind I have a 28 day cycle of course!).

I have had pregnancy symptoms of nausea, sore nipples and cramps this month which was unusual - my left ovary was a little cramping over the weekend! I started to worry but it seems to have settled down now. I have heard that it may be just from being on the pill for a couple of years and my body settling adjusting???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated but it's finally great to meet you all and be able to share.

    Hi Sunrise,

When I came off the pill, I was sick on and off for 3 mths as I adjusted to no more chemical dependence, my cycle has now varied between 26-33 days over a 12mth time frame. I have certainly found I experience physical symptoms I never had on the pill, such as feeling O (ovulation) pain, and more general sensitivity and awareness of the bodily events.
There is a lingo list in the articles section I think...

Good luck with TTC and I hope your journey is a short one.

    Hi S'rose

Thanks for getting back to me. I am feeling a bit better today and only small feelings of butterflies in my left ovary region now and again

I just hope it's nothing serious. Going off the pill last month may be giving me some symptoms yes

I hope to be talking to you more often! Have you got any children yet? Are you TTC

Hi sunrise! I went off the pill in december and got my period straight away as well. Its funny, because now you will start to feel everything happening in your body , like now i know when i ovulate, i get sore bbs, and some cramps. We are also trying for number 1 baby, and i hope its a quick journey for you too. The thing that suprised me was how hard it is, and how long it can take. Me and Brian have been having unprotexted sex for nearly 4 months now, and it still hasnt happened!!!! Oh well, fingers crossed!

Sunrise - its well worth joining the TTC buddies 1-6mths, there's lots of lovely ladies in there with heaps of support and knowledge to assist you in your journey.
I however have just reached 12mths TTC my first bub, so my journey is taking a little while which is ok. I am learning the art of patience.
Those ovaries are certainly more active off the pill, its a fascinating thing to notice over time.

    Hi Kristabelle25.

I know hey! I can totally feel my body is changing. It's amazing how much the pill makes everything regular! I am hoping for my P this Monday, I will keep you posted! I am also keeping a chart...

Get this though, my temperature yesterday morning was 36.4 and today it's 36.9! I am 5 days before my P so what does that mean??! I am yet to learn about charting a bit more.

I hope your journey is a quick one too! I hope you fall pregnant soon! Fingers crossed.

Hi S'rose, I am praying your journey isn't too much longer as it has been 12 months already. Patience would be the key though for sure. I am sure it will happen

I will join that group too! You girls are so lovely!
