    Change of plans... TTC NOW!

So a few months ago I had a preconception checkup and started taking vitamins but then had a few health issues so stopped, we weren't going to try again until March but have decided to do it now, I'm worried I haven't been taking vitamins for a couple of months now do you think I should start taking them again and wait to TTC or just start taking them now and see how we go? I'm so excited yet nervous, this is bub2, we are both 31 and have a 3.5yr old LG.

I would just start ttc now and start vitamins now unless your levels were affected by your illness I think the only important ones at this stage are folate and iodine

I guess it may depend on what health problems you had and if its resolved... But on the whole if you are well now and eat a well balanced diet there should be no problem TTC now! On a side note if you were taking elevit or another 'powder tablet' it may be worth looking into trying another brand as they've been known not to properly absorb in many women (i use blackmores they're a liquid capsule).
I hope it all goes well for you and you're welcoming a new LO before the end of the coming year

Thanks so much ladies. I have elevit, last pregnancy I used blackmores, but a friend also have me her leftover boxes of blackmores preconception where you take the two tablets. I was going to take them as I can use elevit during pregnancy... Maybe not now after hearing that. I generally have a well balanced diet so would think I'm pretty good that way. My health issues I will always have and just need to manage. Fingers crossed!
