    Unhappy I Need Advice

    Hello everybody.
I'm only new to this site and I'm just looking for some advice.
I'm not really sure where to start...
I'm 21 and my fiance and I have been having unprotected sex for 9 months now and have been actually trying for a baby for the last 5 months. Neither of us smoke or drink and we do engaged in intercourse regularly. (3-4 times a week) However I have had abnormal pap smear results in the past and have had a LETZ procedure to fix it up but the doctor told me that it should not interfere with concieving at all.
Every month I get my period I get more stressed and depressed. I worry myself stupid thinking that there may be something wrong with me even though I know it is perfectly normal to take 12 months to concieve - Even for a perfectly healthy couple.
Does anyone have any advice? Anything that I can do to speed up the process? Should me and my partner go see a doctor for advice for concieving?

I havent had any experience with fertility issues, but I just wanted to offer you a
I know that trying to get something you want so badly can be frustrating when it doesnt happen as you hope it will.
The only thing I would suggest is that if you AT ALL concerned you should see your doctor. There may be nothig whatsoever the matter, and things will happen when they are good and ready. However, there may be something wrong, and as many of the ladies here who have been down this road will tell you, the sooner you find out and can plan a path through the problems the better.

So even if it is only to ease your mind, go and see your doctor and ask them to do some tests and see where you both stand

I wish you all the best of luck TTC, I hope you get your baby soon

Agree, it can't hurt.Hopefully it will put your mind at ease. Are you charting your ovulation etc? I think considering your young and have been trying for nine months, the doctor will test.It is normal to take that long but i totally understand how you feel, it took me about that long to conceive my son. It's hard and very emotional.

good luck hun and I hope it all happens for you soon.x

    Liza,
I know how you feel, both my DH and i are 26, we are young and have a healthy lifestyle, neither of us smoke, i am not drinking while TTC, DH is but in moderation. I just got my period today so am about to start our 4th month TTC. I have had 2 laser treatment procedures for CIN2 as the abnormalities came back and i can't help have this thought in the back of my mind when each month comes around again. They say it will not affect anything but i know it scars your cervix cause when i have a pap smear the doc says she can "see the scars from were the work was done!" If we are still trying after 6 months i am going to the doc's even just to ease my mind and literally demand they do some tests. I think if you are stressing about it go and ask some questions ( and tell them you have been actively TTC for the whole 9 months!). Hope everything works out, let us know how it goes.

Thank you all for the advice.
I think I will give myself one more month and if it doesn't happen then I'll make a doctors appointment.
Are there any positions/preparations anyone would suggest for TTC??

    Exclamation

This is going to sound a bit silly that I didn't realise this earlier but I have been so busy with work and settling in to a new state (Victorian in WA for 6 weeks now) I have been a little vague lately.

My cycle is usually about 35 days. (Example: AF arrived 21st Sept 08 (35 day cycle) 25th Oct 08 (34 day cycle) then 28th Nov 08 (36 day cycle) then 3rd Jan 09 (29 day cycle) then 1st Feb 09)

This month my cycle was only 29 days and it showed up without warning. Usually i feel HORRIBLE with back cramps the day before and then when AF does arrive I have God awful abdominal cramping, so bad sometimes it can send me into a cold sweat. This time nothing, no pain AT ALL. I just went to the loo and suddenly AF was there too! I think it was the suprise of just getting my period that upset me so much - I didn't even have sneaky warnings I usually get that I wasn't pregnant. And I actually had high hopes this time - My partner actually kept saying "I think I did it this time! I have a funny feeling I have."
Its probably nothing at all but I thought maybe it had something to do with my LETZ procedure (for CIN3) on the 18th of December. Although the results from the LETZ came back negative for abnormalties (did they invade me for fun?) I though maybe they have cleared something up? Or God forbid, broken something!? Does anyone know anything about LETZ procedures in relations to TTC and such?

    Thanks
