I am seeing Dr louise Farrel in WA and shes an Obgyn and it says shes a FS aswell. i am going to request a BT on day 21 becasue i am sure that i have ovulated on day 14 (it was the only positive OPK that i got and my cervix was high and soft.
I took clomid day 2-6 and had a BT day 2,6,8 and 16. i know dr farrel has been away the past week and ive been speking to the FN but i dnt feel comfortable with what she is telling me like im not getting enough info out of her.
they have also told me to make an appt at Hollywood fertility as I am looking like I am to difficult for them.
DH called hollywood fertility to make an appt and they told him it would be 385 and i almost fell over so he didnt make an appt coz i wasnt sure it sounded right? and so far i have spoken to a few ladies and they have all said that it doesnt sound right
this whole process has really got me down it all seems so expensive and like its going nowhere
Oh wow, you poor thing, If she is a FS doesn't seem right that she is ref u to someone else...
I know it does get you down.. I fully understand, cannot believe it is just BT when scans are instant.. you poor thing.
But the reward will be when you get yr bubs.. and i think for us LTTC and assisted TTC it is sooooooo much sweeter.. try to hang in there love
What does the $385 include? I am in Melbourne and for a semen analysis to be done we got the "sample" and rushed it to Melbourne pathology. Then DH made an appointment a few days late with his GP who told him the results of the analysis.
I'm not sure about how they do things in WA. Also if you have ovulated on day 14, a day 16 BT would show a higher progesterone level (enough to suggest ovulation)
Maybe find someone new to treat you. Clomid is fairly simple, you take it days 2-6 or even 3-7 etc, and have a BT on day 21 to prove ovulation. If no ovulation the they up your dose and try that. But usually they give it a couple of months before jumping to conclusions. Are you trying another round on clomid? If your FS won't agree to a day 21 BT then maybe your GP will?
I hope you get everything sorted
