    Red face Potential TMI but....

    Hi all,
Ok so Im guessingthis isnt the right place to write this but this will do for now.
The same old story of TTC for 8 moths or so and nothing yet.
So I have been looking on the net and researching and everyone is saying a good way to judge ovulation and possible pregnancy is by the feel of your cervix. Hmm ok so not entirely comfortable with doing this but I did. They say if the cervix is high and wet (omg tmi) and CM clear and stretchy that you are ovulating. They say if its high and soft like puckered lips that possible and probable conception has taken place, but if its low and hard and feels like the tip of your nose then thats the position its usually in when AF arrives.
But yet define what high up is?? Like how far in is the finger (ok slightly blushing now) First knuckle or second or ??????
secondly what if it feels kind of soft and hard? Like you pucker your lips and feel them and you have a certain kind of hardness from the resistance of your teeth and your nose well thats kind of squishy atthe tip because theres no cartalige.
Hmm so now i have everyone confused im sure. Anyway in laymans terms can someone explain this to me in detail??? Pleaseeee

leelee - I've never tried to feel my cervix (well, apart from the time I worried I'd lost a tampon!) but I recommend you google "my beautiful cervix" and have a look at the photos on there.

Mind you, temping and OPKs are less invasive than feeling your cervix every day or so ...

Lol yea I know its invasive. Ireally onlytried it today. Gawsh I feel like a naughty teenager talking about it!!
But the BBT and charting, well im really crap at those. LOL. The temp is the worse though because the minute i get a thermometer it goes missing.... oh the joys of kids. LOL. I guess its just frustating because I have never had issues falling pregnant before..ever!! But now all of a sudden its been hard. Im still under 30 eat healthy exercise and do all of that! Oh and the my beautiful cervix .... what a fabulous website. I wish she kept it current and updated though.
Anyways thanks for you help in any case.. much appreciated!!
    xx

    Hi Leelee
Don’t feel bad about feeling your cervix after all it is your cervix and you should be allowed to feel it whenever you want. When talking about your cervix there is not a great deal of difference between hard and soft. The best way I know of to tell the difference is- Hard is like the tip of your nose and soft is like your ear lobe. Hope that helps.

Ahh yourright Alan, I shouldnt feel embarassed by it but it doesnt stop the blushing LOL!!
In any case thanks for that. The ear lobes feel slightly different to puckered lips
    Cheers!!!
