    CM question - please help

    Hi,

Apologies in advance if this is TMI!

I am 5DPO , temperature up and steady and I'm still checking CM daily. For the last three days my CM had been getting thicker (pasty and a lot of it) and at times there were substantial stringy/stretchy bits.

Today I'm gobsmacked to find none of the 'normal' pasty CM but what I consider a HUGE amount of, what looks to me like Spinn....more than a pea sized amount of stretchy, white/creamy coloured Spinn.

My temp is steady....I can't be ovulating twice surely?....where on earth is this CM coming from. Is this normal?

No odor, or discomfort, so I'm not worried about it....its just not what I expected on CD 24.

I've not noticed this type of CMbefore, but have never been so interested in my CM either! Quite new to all this. I've only ever checked pre-ovulation CM before, not post.

I am hoping that I have fallen pregnant this month as we DTD every other day up until I received a +ve OPK. Didn't DTD after that.

I feel flu-like today. Heavy head, headache and I awoke early around 3am briefly to what felt like a wave of nausea which then dissapated. BB's are fine, no soreness.

I know I could just be a bit sick or having PMS or having phantom pregnancy symptoms because I'm so desperate to have a baby, but the CM has really got me thinking what on earth is going on?

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you.

    Hi Nicole,
Have you looked on the Fertility Friend website? They have heaps of info about cervical mucus.
    The link is www.fertilityfriend.com.
I think from memory I have read on other posts that some women do get the stretchy musuc in their luteal phase...I hope it is a good sign.

I had some CM like what you describe in the last 2 cycles - it was like EWCM except white.

For a while I worried that I hadn't ovulated, but my temps had a pretty clear shift - that's one of the advantages of temping I guess.

I eventually decided that it was just a large amount of sticky CM - it can be stretchy too, but doesn't stretch as far as EWCM. Also, it is not clear like EWCM. It looks a bit like rubber cement, and I have seen sticky CM described as rubber cement.

Hope you get a BFP this month!
