Coming off the Pill/the Morning After Pill

Just wanted to see if any of you have experiences with the above you might be able to share with me.
In June last year I came off the Pill as although we're not 100% ready to TTC yet I wanted to get my cycles back into gear in preparation. I have PCOS (the reason my gyno put me on the Pill in the first place - previously I ovulated fairly regularly but my bleeding was incredibly heavy and the Pill fixed that up). I didn't menstruate for 5 months after coming off it, then got my period in November, skipped December, then got it in January again.
Then in February we had an 'incident' (lol) and because we still weren't trying yet I took the morning after pill and had a massive period (had never taken it before but everyone assurred me that was normal and actually the point of it).
I haven't menstruated since, and it's really frustrating. Apart from the fact I actually don't mind having my period, the fact it isn't showing up is frustrating because it means I'm not ovulating. (Sadly I'm DEFINITELY not pregnant. How funny, most of us would view not having a period as good news, equalling pregnancy, but in my case that's not what's going on).
Although I'm not TTC yet I want everything to be operating normally so when we're ready there won't be too long a delay, plus if I'm getting it regularly I can chart my cycle better. But right now there's no real cycle to speak of.
Anyway have any of you had experiences relating to the Pill or the Morning After Pill? I have been told it can take up to 2 years to ovulate normally again after going off the Pill, and that the Morning After Pill takes a while to recover from also. What experience do you guys have in the area?

You poor thing. I empathise with your frustration.

I've had to go on the Pill since being diagnosed with PCOS - and i hate it. I went off it for some reason a little while ago, and my cycle was all messed up. It was never "regular" - so it would sometimes be a week or two weeks out.

A long long time ago I did take the morning after pill - but this was long before the PCOS was diagnosed.. and I didn't have difficult periods - and taking the MAF was a normal experience for me.

Don't lose hope mate. I've heard so many stories from different women about "going back to normal" after coming off the pill.. some conceive the next cycle after going off the pill, others take a few months, and obviously the 2 year story came from someone.. well, you get the gist :-)

Thanks for your support hon. If anyone else has any experiences they'd like to share I'm still keen to hear too.

Some good news though, looks as though I did get my period today, still light but as I haven't bled for four months I'm celebrating. I was starting to fear I'd never ovulate again (you know how melodramatic one can get in this situation!) so the fact that I have is great news, even though we aren't TTC yet.
