Cramping after BD

I have only recently come off BC (end of April) after being on it for 12 years so I'm just learning how my body is reacting. I stopped my BC at the end of the cycle but no AF, it came after another 3 weeks, I had mild cramping 1 week prior to getting AF.

For the past 3 days I have been getting mild to moderate AF type cramps, I'm currently nearing mid cycle, no BBT rise as of yet. Last night DH and I BD but after orgasm I got painful cramps for about 15mins, where walking around distracted me from them, then it settled back down to a mild cramp.

I use to get similar types of cramps mid cycle, which were worse when I orgasmed when I had the implanon contraceptive implant. I had some investigations done which showed nothing, and the pain went after having it removed and going back to oral BC.

Does anyone else have similar experiences or advice?

This used to happen to me when I was on the pill....I used to skip the sugar pills and just take the pill continuously for several months at a time because my period would give me migraines....and when I had gone without a period for a couple of months and had an orgasm I would get really awful cramps and have to lie curled in a ball until they went away!
Maybe it has something to do with the hormone levels at the time.

Yes, I came to the same conclusion, that it was hormonally related.
And being on implanon, I had not bleed for 12months and for the next 6 my AF was light and irregluar. I use to skip the sugar pills also, but never had cramps like this on the pill.
