Did you do a HPT just because you felt like it ?

I have this strange urge to do a HPT ...

and the funny thing is i have no reason to believe i could expect to see 2 line if i would test but i want to never the less ?
not sure if i think that i will get a magical surprise just because its X-mas… or if i am just loosing my TTC marbles...


I have to laugh at myself and i am now wondering if i am the only crazy chick out there, hopefully not ...and if anyone ever got lucky with a miracle BFP ?

Yep, that's pretty much how I found out I was pregnant with Ianto - had a spare HPT, was bored, needed to wee... Five minutes later I was on the phone to Scott asking if he was sitting down because I had news

I was the same . We'd only DTD the once within that time but whadya know it happened. We were halfway through planning our wedding & as it turns out I'm due 2 weeks before we were going to get married . If you feel like testing I say test away lol

Yeah! We were lazily trying (just not bothering with protection the times we DTD - which wasn't often in those few weeks) but not really expecting much to happen Because my cycles have been all wonky the past six years or so, I had no idea if I was due for AF or not. Turned out I tested around 14DPO anyway, lucky me

If that'd been a false negative, or a less sensitive test, I reckon I wouldn't have known for at least another month and a half - it was a month before our wedding, so I would've just put the lack of AF down to stress and the aforementioned wonky cycles

I have such a POAS addiction I have been known to test whilst 8mths pregnant. Like I needed a HPT to confirm the heffalump inside me was a baby!

I got a call this morning telling me that I am UTD so straight away I went and brought a HPT just so I could see the two lines

love it that i am not the only crazy one ! still resisting the silly urge thought ... telling myself i should wait till i actually think i have a fair chance of getting a BFP ... i only have one HPT which was a freebee ....just wish i would know what is possessing me to wanting to test LOL

I used to poas like 4 times every month at least.. Not even at the right times! just cause I wanted to and jic. Then one night (when I wasnt even due for AF yet) I poas and then saw a very very faint second line. I almost fell off the toilet!!!! So I went and bought another test... Right away BFP, now my BFP is attatched to my boob n won't go to sleep!

So randomly testing can bring surprise bfps! I say go for it! Lol

I had a hunch that i needed to test before my QLD holiday.
I got a shock when the two lines came up!

I just had the urge with DS lol hubby & I had only been dating for just over 4 months and i had the flu pretty bad, on the spur of the moment I bought a HPT, did it after hubby went to work, and spent the next 3 hours swapping between crying and shaking with excitement until he called me to see how I was going and I told him... first time I've ever made him completely speechless.

Then with this one I had the sudden urge to do a HPT on my birthday (the day before AF was due) but hubby said no, and after almost 11 months of trying I was almost ready to give up anyway so we hadn't DTD much that month (only 2 or 3 times before I actually O'd and the closest time to O itself was about 4 days beforehand lol), then he bought me a HPT the next day and hey presto, a BFP... was so shocked and scared because we hadn't even been trying that month and that morning I'd had some spotting and thought AF was on it's way lol
