Question Difficulty falling pregnant after infection?

Hi guys, just wanted to get a few opinions (and no, not TTC yet!!)

I had a really bad infection in my uterus after the c-section with Miss M - and I've heard that infections can sometimes lead to difficulties in falling pregnant the next time.

I had no trouble falling pregnant the second time - only took once!!!

Since having Miss M - I've had one lot of AF. The first time I O'd I got really bad period cramps and have never had that before - only bad cramps when getting AF. So that was a bit strange, plus my discharge (TMI sorry!) is much... errr... more... now than it used to be when Oing.

So I've just O'd for the second time - again lots of discharge - and my cycle seems to be back to the 28 days that it always has been...

So I'm just wondering - any stories from people out there that had an infection, did it give you more pain after it had gone with O'ing OR AF, and did it affect your ability to concieve?

    Ta muchly!!!

Oh Hun... if you read my horror stories you will run for the hills

Keep in mind that I am ABSOLUTE WORST POSSIBLE SCENARIO

First thing that I can offer is that if it feels not right... then it probably isn't... get it checked out STRAIGHT AWAY.

I won't write everything down in this post.. its just too long & boggling for the mind, but if you want to read through my ttc journal (there's 2 of them ) you can paint the worst possible picture in your head.

In saying that though, there are a LOT of women that get infections in their uterus, get it fixed and go on like normal - I had extreme circumstances... and issues with endo & bad scarring from a young age anyway.

The part about the painful ovulating I believe to be quite common after having children (only from what Dr's have told me) - but I also know that it can be from recurring infection as well.
That + the way over the top discharge with ovulation is exactly what I have -and swelling in my abdomen so bad that I can't do my jeans up in the middle of my cycle.

I don't want to scare you (far out, I've just read this post & its really bleak & scary, I'm sorry ) -but from experience I just want to say to follow it up, and continue following it up until you're absolutely certain.

Not that I could have done anything different, but I often think to myself 'If only...' at different times too.

Your situation is different to mine, so I'm sure you'll be on top of things - but nevertheless PLEASE trust your instinct

Please let me know if you want to know anything further, or PM me if you want to have a chat.

    Love Holly

I've not had a section or an infection, but i DO have cramps and spotting at ovulation now which i never had before. Discharge is the same though. If you are worried get it checked - the longer an infection is there the more damage it can do.

    Best of luck

    Thanks guys.

Holly - I will check out your journals, thanks for sharing. I don't know about my tummy swelling at that time, cos its always fat... lol...

I guess I'll go see a doc if I keep getting pain/excess discharge...

    DAMN...
