Does anyone else bleed to frequently?

    Hi Everyone

Just wanting to see if there is anyone else in the same boat as me. I get my AF (lately) every 14 days. Yes, every 2 weeks. Prior to that, i noticed it was every 24days.

The last cycle i had, lasted 24 days.

For for a couple of months before this cycle, it was every 14 days.

Is this a sign of PCOS? i am not sure whats going on...

I am a TTC # 1 and its been a long journey, as my AF is all over the shop. I do get EWCM and use Maybe baby too. All indicate i do Ovul...

i'd be talking to a GP and maybe getting a referral to a gyne - bleeding that frequently sounds odd - and isn't going to aid you in getting pregnant. IF you're ovulating, it would seem your luteal phase isn't long enough to sustain a pregnancy (anything under 10 days from O-AF is not consistent with a cycle capable of sustaining a pregnancy)

BG is right, a cycle that short would struggle to sustain a pregnancy. Best to go to your doctor for a check up.

Have you tried charting to see if you ovulate and how long your luteal phase is? If you don't want to do that, blood tests could be done through your doc.

    Best of luck!

    Thanks for the replies

I do need to see a fertility specialist, just need to get an appointment.

I havent temped before, (i do have a temping thermometre for TTC), but unfortunately, i do not understand how it works? If some one can give me the basics 101 to temping, that would be great! hehe

I do monitor my CM, and use Maybe Baby too. At the times i suspect i will be ovul.. i get a positive ferning on the Maybe baby along with EWCM.

I have heard that Clomid can help lenghten the Luetal (sp) phase?

Oh i wish my fertility specialist wasnt so booked out!

I am not TTC but I had this after I had my last bub.. I would bleed every 7 days for 7 days.. Drove me nuts.. I did have unusual bleeding before falling pg and it was discovered i had a Fibroid. My Af resolved itself after a few months ..

I know how frustrating it can be TTc or not.. I would be seeing your GP and asking whats up

    Thanks heaps for the replies.

I did some research on this forum, and found that I may have a luteal phase defect problem, and to try taking Vitamin B6 to help lengthen it. I will give this a go, whilst i wait to see my specialist...

rachel6188 : I am sorry to hear about your AF issues too. Hopefully we can get this resolved soon, i feel i am in the same boat as you, i have more bleeding days than non bleeding days. How am i ever going to get preggers.

I also used to bleed for 30-40days, it got so bad, my GP suggested a D&C, which i had, and then my AF rectified itself. My GP said that it was due to build up, as i had tiny fibroids too. He said that it will evetually build up , and i might need another D&C.

This was 8 years ago. I am hoping i dont have to go down that path..

aussienic : How were your cycles before pregnancy? were they too frequent, or too far apart?
