    eBay cheapies???

I bought a bunch of ICs off eBay when my DF and I started TTC. They are the purple dye ones and are apparently 10MIU/mL. I'm currently on CD 35 (18DPO) and still getting BFNs. I was normally on 28 day cycles like clockwork before having the Implanon removed and I know there is a possibility that my body is still flushing the hormones but I have NO SYMPTOMS either way! So what I'm asking is are the eBay tests really reliable or should I buy a FR/go to the DR??

From what I've read, even cheapies work just as well as expensive tests when your late for your period...

    Re: eBay cheapies???

I bought the 50 for $8 and yes they worked!
I used them every day from 8dpo thinking they would never work and just curbed my POAS addiction.
15dpo I got a super duper faint line, so I did a second one, yep, super faint line. So I went and got a FRER (I peed in a cup so kept my FMU) and the line on it was just as faint as the IC's.

My blood at 17dpo was only 96 so it's not surprising at 15dpo it was only very faint!

Thanks ladies. I'm still getting BFNs on both ICs and FRER so I think I've come to the conclusion that I'm not UTD this month. Doc sent me off for BT last week though to test a range if things like vitamin d, full blood count etc & I get those results today. She also put in to test for pg but I'm currently CD44 and still nothing either way.

Good luck! Hopefully AF just hurries her stupid butt up and gets it over and done with so you can try again and get your BFP! It took us 4 months after coming off BC and my body to regulate hormones again to get our BFP just as a heads up :-)

Thanks for your feed back darl. I'm currently sitting at the doctors. They stuffed my appointment up so had to come back 2 hours later. Because we are TTC the doc sent me for all my vitamin levels etc with the HCG blood test so at least this won't be a wasted appointment either way. I wasn't expecting it to be this quick anyway so it's not like I'm hanging all hope on this as I know average time to fall pg is 12 months for a healthy couple.

    Re: eBay cheapies???

I bought a bunch of ebay cheapies to help me save some $$ due to my POAS addiction while TTC. The cheapies helped save money, but I definately think they are not as sensitive as FRER's. I got my first faint BFP 9DPO with FRER but didn't get a positive line on the ebay cheapies until a day or two later, by that stage I'd already got a BFP on CB Digital.
On the other hand the internet cheapie OPKs are fantastic, they worked just as well as any other pharmacy or supermarket brand OPKs.
All the best for your BT results, hoping for a BFP for you very soon.
