Please Help

Hi, Im kinda new to these forums and needed some questions answered. So if any of you ladies could help me you would ease my mind alot!!
Ok, firstly, I know I am asking this WAY to soon but I am going to go mad if I have to wait till next month (Those of you desperate for a child will know what Im talking about)
Well, I started my last menstrual cycle on the 5th of this month. Normally my cycle is 28 days so I calculated my ovulation as between Saturday - Tuesday.
Partner and I were VERY active during those times (hey I didnt hear him complaining hehe)
My question is, why am I still getting the symptoms of ovulation?
I know I have to wait until atleast early next month to see if I have a lil blessing sticking, but if partner had "Fertilized" one of my eggs, would I still be ovulating?

Would anyone know what my chances of actually falling pregnant would be at this point? I know your not psychics but you know, as women more experienced then I.

Well thank you all for your help, I will definantly keep you guys posted and hopefully be celebrating two dark lines in the next few weeks!!

hi ther englishrose,welcom well i have no answers im sorry but im so glad you put this post up as im experiencing the same thing im now on cycle day 20 and have had a possitive home ovulation kit for the last 5 days and am getting quit a few bad pains but my boobs arnt sore like they get when af is about to arrive and i am on clomid 100mg i also usually have a 28 day cycle ,my mum just keeps telling me im proberbly just very fertil this month but i just dont know ....so i really hope we can get some answers soon best of luk to you and keep me posted love smith felling confused

You might just be ovulating a little later this month?
Did you have ovulation symptoms from Saturday? or did they start a bit later?

Well today I woke up with such a sore back on the bottom of my spine and today my breasts were quite sore/tender.
My cervix is still quite firm and raised as well.

The other day, Saturday night I think, I did have a lot of clear liquid (sorry if TMI) in my panties so I just assumed I had started ovulation then.

Just another dumb question, as I think Im still ovulating, is it still possible for one of the eggs to stick?
I heard sperm can live upto 5 days but how often does this happen?

Hey EnglishRose,
The clear cervical mucus you had could have been indication that ovulation was going to be happening in the next few days. My acupuncturist said that fertile cervical mucus can last for many days before you actually ovulate.
I am not sure about the egg sticking?
I think the average that sperm can live in ideal fertile mucus is 3 days. But I have heard that on the rare occassion they can last up to 5 days.

Well I've started to cramp across the front of my stomach now, whereas normally its only on one side.
I dunno, its probably all in my mind, wanting a child so badly, but its all very strange to me.
Plus the clear mucus has started again but its a bit different to the last lot.

About the mucus-y stuff, I got it last Saturday and then it went away all week, then I got it again today.
Im very confused (sorry I dont really know my body all that well when it comes to the mucus stuff, I really have no idea what it all means )
As for temperatures, I dont really take them because again, I dont know how.
Im only 20 so I always thought for someone my age it would be easy to fall pregnant (why is it the ones who arent trying - it just happens straight away )but I guess not lol.

Is the mucousy stuff sperm do you think? Is it stretchy? For it to be true EWCM it has to stretch between your fingers. If you and ur partner are DTD alot, it is possible it is just his little guys escaping afterwards.....?

Hey EnglishRose,
It is all very confusing! There is a great website called Fertility Friend (www.fertilityfriend.com) that has heaps of information on taking your temps and mucus.
With the temps though, you just need to buy a digital thermometer (which you can order online from www.lullabyconceptions.com) and keep it beside your bed and every morning when you wake up just take your temp straight away before you get up and record it. After you ovulate you should see your temp go up!
My acupuncturist also told me that fertile mucus can come and then go and then come again in one cycle! I was like "That is just great!".

Hi Katkins - I dont think the white stuff could be sperm (well who knows) but the last Saturday when it came (Saturday before last) we hadnt DTD since Monday night/Tuesday morning so not sure if that could be it. I dont think I have had the sticky, thick mucus that stretches between your fingers. Its quite weird!

Well, today Ive woken up with a cramping stomach and my BBs are very tingly and sensitive. Not so nauseas anymore but VERY tired. Then again it could be AF but like I said, I guess Ill have to wait and see!!

not sure if this helps any and I realize the date of your post is a few weeks old now, but I plugged the data into our software program we use and based on your info here is what I show:

based on 28 day cycle, menstration starting on 5th, and assuming you have a standard luteal fase of 14 days:

Menstration from the 5th - 9th (9th being very light to non exsistant), possible fertile week between the 15th - 20th with ovulation slated for the 19th and your next menstral cycle starting on saturday June 2nd.

Since I am late in replying, if you are not PG and the information I gave you is accurate, then this month your fertile week should be around: 12th - 17th with ovulation on the 16th.

It started on the 28th of last month and according to FF and my sticky mucus I think I ovulated yesterday.
But if you come up with a different quote please let me know.

ok, start of AF on the 28th ending around the 1st, assuming the same 28 day cycle you had listed in your initial post, and also a 14 day luteal phase:

Possible fertile week of 7 -12 with ovulation on the 11th. AF on the 25th.

now what I'm not sure of is your miss calculation. what did you miscalculate on? if you still started your cycle last month on the 5th but AF came again on the 28th then I think that is a 24 day cycle and this months dates would be different:

possible fertile week of 3rd - 8th with ovulation on the 7th. AF again on the 21st and a 2nd possible fertile week this month of 27th - July 2nd with ovulation on July 1st.

are you able to feel the release of your eggs? If so, tell me when you think you feel your egg release and also when AF visits you next. That should show me a pattern. If you tell me what you miscalculated on last month, I might be able to figure it out from that as well.

have you been under some good stress lately or any other life altering things? that might explain why your cycle shortened up when it is normally a 28 day cycle.
