Can you conceive by having sex 6 days before ovulation????

Hi again.... Just wondering if anyone out there has managed to conceive by having sex 6days before ovulation or if it's possible???

yes you can!

the "girl" sperm are strong (we're fighters right from the start!) and can last 5-6 days!

It's pretty unlikely at 6 days prior to ovulation, five or less is the norm, but it does happen.

With this pregnancy, we dtd (and had an oopsie) only days after af finished, roughly 6 or 7 days before I was due to ovulate. And I fell pg. So yes, I believe it can happen.

didnt mean to imply it was common, but it does happen. if you're actively TTC, i wouldn't rely on sex 6 days before ovulation to get you pregnant!

It is not common but is possible, with the pg we also had an ooppsie 5 days before O and I got UTD, so I am guessing if it can live for 5, then in a small percentage of cases they can live for 6

My DD was 6 days before, I thought we had missed the boat that month but obviously not.

Another for 5 days before - but not a girl. Or at least the ultrasound person said she saw dangly bits, I'm "only" 35 weeks pregnant I'm also a good argument against fertility dropping over 30 or whatever the stats are, I'm almost 35yo.

My two girls were both same day and both involved too much alcohol. Oopsie ...

I believe they can live up to 7 days but most common is 3 days only. You are more likely to end up with a girl cause boys swim faster but girls live longer

My DD was conceived from DTD 4 days before O. All the books I've read say 5 days is possible but who knows really Nothing is certain in life I've found!

I'm wondering the same thing. 7 days is a long time! My son was conceived from 'events' 5 days before ovulation, so I guess anything is possible.

My boy was concieved the night after AF finished. I have no idea when I O'd though.
