Hi Everyone, Im new here and I am in my first TTC cycle from stopping the pill.
I suspect I am about 12-13 DPO today if I count from the last day of EWCM and tested and got a BFN. I havent actually missed my AF yet and technically it isnt due until tomorrow or the next day. My cycles when I am not on the pill are generally between 28-32 days and Ive only been on the pill for about 6 months. This past week I have had extremely sore/sensitive nipples, lumpy occasionally sore boobs, a little bit of cramping and once only that I noticed some very very slight very light pink spotting on Thursday. Ive never noticed these symptoms before with AF but cant help but noticed the nipples now.
I tested early as I thought that early symptoms would mean an early positive and I am wondering if it is now just a sign of AF coming or the hormone changes in my body from the pill.
Should I just assume now that I am not pregnant after the BFN or should I continue testing and waiting?
most tests suggest waiting until after AF is due. I haven't had a BFP yet but only came off the pill at the end of June. I would test again early next week if AF hasn't appeared. I would probably also have a couple of different brands for testing - some are more reliable than others. First Response tests (Avail at Woolworths/Safeway) appear to be a preferred early test in the TTC 1-6Mth thread but that doesn't mean that other tests aren't as reliable. Some people don't get BFPs with HPTs for quite a while - a BT can sometimes give a BFP before a HPT.
Don't forget that the pill can upset your cycle and things may take some time to sort themselves out.
