folate tablets - any advice?

Hi,
Does anyone know how long you can take folate tablets for?
I have been taking them since around June last year (thinking it wouldn't take long to fall pregnant, ha ha) and I have just stopped taking them a couple of weeks ago because I'm not sure if its ok to keep taking them.

I don't think that there is any time limit to taking folate. I know that some studies have recomended that women take folate for the duration of thier reproductive years.
