Gender Swaying Information #6

Hi again ladies,

I asked this question earlier in the Gender Swayers Info thread, but I thought I'd ask here too just incase it helps get more replies.....

My LP has always been around 10-11 days at most (I know it was definitely no longer than this before I conceived DS2, not sure about DS1). Also, I tend to have lower pre-O temps (around 36.2-36.4c). Apparently these two factors can mean your cycle is more BOY friendly.

I've actually been doing a little research, and I am beginning to think I have an estrogen dominance/progesterone deficiency. A lot of things point to this, and I've recently discovered this is also another thing that favours the conception of boys.

My question is, has anyone conceived GIRLS under similar circumstances?

Also, have you taken VITEX whilst TTC a girl, to help with these fertility issues and also to help conceive a GIRL (as VITEX is also supposed to be girl friendly)?

Question was reading that to help sway towards a boy its potassium and sodium.

Can either or both of these be taken as a supplement??

If so any suggestions on which tabs etc?

Girl on a mission. I'm not sure about the Vitex, but I was taking that plus Vit B when I conceived my 3rd son, was meant to be swaying for a girl.

But I have since read the Vit B isn't that good for swaying for girls, but the Vitex is fine. I also had a very short luetal phase was around 9 to 10 days.

Girlonsmission, I too am hoping to use A gender this time. I tried to do it myself last time but I think there was just too much info out their. I also was using the 2/3 day cut off, was takng calcium and magnesium tablets and cranberry tablets.

Guess all you can do is try your hardest.

Has anyone used replens to help lower their PH levels. That was one of the hardest things I found, plus I found it difficult to read.

My husband and I have two boys 13 and 10 and have decided to try for a girl. I have done lot's of reading and have been charting. I have not heard of Vitex, what is it and is it natural? As much as we would love a girl, it has been 10 since I had a baby and not sure how easy it will be to concieve at 35, so will give it a go but be very happy with any baby :D

FWIW, from what I know of the nub theory Id guess thats a boy bub in there!

Freya- thanks. I hope its a good enough nub shot! I am thinking boy too. We swayed for a boy and got dtd on 'o' spot on...however that ended with a m/c. This baby snuck in straigh after the m/c, so the only real swaying I did was semi diet!

Well Mel, I would be very surprised if your little one was a girl!!

WOOT! I know I shouldnt get too excited! However a boy would be really nice. I am resigned to the fact that we are having a girl, possibly trying to just tell myself that it will all be good! Now...we have decided to not find out! I know this sounds silly because here i am looking at nub shots. We knew with both dds and this is our last...either way! So I wont be asking them to tell, although I will be going through the dvd when we get it to see if I can get some clues!

My first was a sneak in after m/c and he's all boy ;) I also had a boy dtd right on o-day. My other boy should be a girl hahahahaha

I haven't posted on any of these forums since my last baby was born, but I'm happy to announce that we're TTC again.
Our other kids are all boys and it would be nice to have a girl this time.
I'm a little concerned about the diet thing for me though, because (and I know this is bad, but..) I have quite a high salt diet and I don't know if I have the patience or the will to change it. I'm certainly happy to give the other stuff a go, but will keeping my relatively high salt diet swing things enough that the other stuff I try (the timing, positions, etc) will be pointless?

I suppsose it depends on how much you want a girl. If you want a girl bad enough then cutting out salt to do everything you know possible to concieve a girl isn't much of a sacrifice. I know there are so many studies that support high mag/cal low sodium/pot diet in conception on female offspring that I would not think a whole hearted gender sway is complete without it.

I also believe that if you do everythoing you can to concieve your desired gender then you have no regrets. If you don't get yourdesired gender and you did everything then that baby was just meant to be :)

But it is totally up to you :)

The diet thing again... After looking through the info on here I can see why DD was always going to be a girl!!

I'm trying to introduce some of the boy things into my diet, but I'm struggling too. Adding salt to things when you haven't had it for most of your life is a challenge! Plus, I know it's not super-good for me. I keep reminding myself that I actually have low blood pressure, so some extra salt and meat is probably good for me! Cutting out some dairy is going to be trickier, but if it's only for a few months (hopefully) it's not much of a sacrifice!

What other things have you tried, Tanya?

We are wanting a boy and having a high salt diet isnt hard for me but cutting out calcium is killing me and I cannot cut it out compltely, when I do I just crave a glass of milk more than anything. I have cut it down though. Hopefully that is enough, we are also using positioning. Timing not so much as I am not temping therefor I dont know exactly when I will O.

Yu know, I didn't need to increase my sodium intake, potassium was the one that i focused on (and also lowering calcium and mag - mag I found very hard to lower!!). My advice for a boy is eat SUPER healthy! Lots of avocados, alfalfa, tomatoes, potatoes :) You also MUST east a healthy big breaky! Cut out white bread and go with brown :)

Fitday in a web site you can use to keep track of what you eat and how much of each element you are having. Can be a bit tricky at first, but it is worth having a look at to know what foods you are eating and what is in them :)

I didnt even think about magnesium, hmm what foods is magnesium in??

I'm bad I dont eat breakfast, but I also dont eat white bread lol.

out of the 4 things you said eat lots of (avocados, alfalfa, tomatoes, potatoes) I only eat potatoes LOL.

My have a look at fitday later on.

What about tomato sauces (pasta) and tomato soup? Alfalfa is good for raising your pH :) (although mine was so stubborn!)

Magnesium is such a tricky one! it is in many nuts and seeds, spinach, broccoli, oysters etc
