Hi ladies, its been a while since i made a post, ive been reading threads but found it to difficult to post for a while.
Anyway, i heard somewhere and was hoping someone could verify that drinking green tea can help boost fertility, is this true? and has it worked for anyone?
Hi,
I've found with so many other fertility suggestions that there is contradictive information. One book/site/expert says yes and another says no for 'x' reason.
In saying that I still drink my green tea, however I'm still awaiting a bfp.
*checking Natural Fertility (book)* page 243 "reduce tea drinking to a minimum (2 cups daily). Caffeine levels are lower than those in coffee but there is enough to inhibit iron and zinc absorption. Try green tea, which is high in antioxidants, or herb teas, instead. Raspberry leaf tea is a good source of folic acid, and tones the cervix and the uterus".
I think the main concern is the caffeine in the tea, reversing the affects of pre-pregnancy supplements.
HTH
*Edit* PZ I think I've read that somewhere as well..
