I did GTT after my second m/c as my OB wanted to check for insulin resistance. My test was came back with 'normal' results but I did alot of googling about insulin resistance in ttc and pregnancy and I found quite a few interesting articles. One which led me to starting a strict low GI diet..... Once our testing was complete and we started ttc again we got our forever baby.
I don't claim to have a huge medical knowledge on the topic but insulin is a hormone so I guess when it is higher or lower than usual it can affect your body incl reproductive functions in different ways.
Good luck with the testing and am sure your second bundle of joy will be on his/her way very soon.
I'm not sure which one you did when you were pg, I did one that took 1 hour. When I did the test when I was ttc it was a 2hr test (3 jabs too... ick!!) which required a special diet for 3 days prior to taking the test so maybe check with your pathology place in advance.

yeh my FS said DO NOT go on the carbs diet!!! i dont know why
but i have to fast soon as my test is at 7:30 tomrorow morning and i cannot eat for 12 hrs prior.
ah - ok, interesting. FS can be mysterious creatures sometimes but in my experience they help make miracles so can be well worth persevering with!! good luck again - don't forget something to eat after the test is done..... you are going to be starving!
