    HPV vaccine.

    Me and DF are TTC#2.
I am currently 2/3 of the HPV vaccine. My doctor is urging me to get the third injection when I get AF next. I've put it off because I heard somewhere that you shouldnt have it pregnant or even within a month or two of concieving. I don't remember where/who I heard this from, so I'm not sure if its credible or not.

So i was just wondering if any of you guys knew whether it was safe or not?

    Hi Kamarine,
I do believe that what you have heard is credible. Ive had all 3 injections and was advised by my GP (who is brilliant!!!) to wait a month after having the vaccine before TTC, which would be why your doctor is advising you to have it when AF arrives- to be sure that you aren't pg.
    Good luck to you.

Yep - you are right - don't have it when you are pregnant and dont ttc the month that you get it.

There is not (to my knowledge) any research on the effects during pregnancy - and you don't want to be the one who is the guinea pig.

Also, I would recommend getting it now rather than waiting until you have had your next kiddie - it is really only effective if you have all three doses in the right timeframe.
