    Help for irregular cycles!

    Hi everyone,

So I am currently charting which is all fine buy I am currently on day 63 of my cycle with no sign of af. According to my chart my od was d29. I have done multiple hpt but no htp! Since coming off the pill last august the shortest cycle I've had has been 40 days. My doctor had a blood test to check hormones for pcos but all ame back fine.

Anyone else suffered from such long cycles?? Any advice for ttc?? At the moment I feel like it's going to be near impossible tc!

    Thanks!

Hi Little_O, I had very irregular cycles when I went off the pill. I suspected that i had pcos too, but my tests came back ok. I'm not sure how you feel about fertility drugs, but my FS prescribed me clomid. I haven't fallen PG yet, but my cycles are now 35 days.

    HTH and good luck

Thanks Tasha. I'm a bit scared to try prescription drugs yet, but did your fs feel that you wouldn't get regular again by yourself? I would like try to try natural first but not really sure where to start. I've seen something called maca which is meant to help...

    Hope you conceive soon thanks!

    Hey little_O.

I like you had crazy irregular cyles, and my longest was 10 months! I sought the help of a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practioner/Naturopath with acupuncture, and it truly worked wonders for me. Within 2 months I had my first period, and on my second cycle after that, I fell pregnant. I cannot speak highly enough for TCM and if you are open to alternative medicines, I would definitely recommend you try it.

Hth, and good luck on your ttc journey

I was off the pill for 1.5 years and my cycles went from 100+ days to about 70 days and then down to about 45 days before i went on clomid. I am 29 this year so we didn't really want to waste any more time. Having maybe 3 "chances" each YEAR was just ridiculous! You may have a problem with ovulation or your body may just take a little extra time to adjust back to regular cycles. For me I had a long history of very irregular cycles so I knew my body wouldn't just change back when I went off the pill. In order to get professional help they like you to be trying for at least 12 months, so maybe after 6 months of ttc call around and book in an appointment with a FS (you will probably have to wait for about 3 months anyway) There is also heaps of natural therapies in one of these threads somewhere. Haven't tried myself, but they sound good.

    good luck

Id recommend going to see someone. My last cycle before clomid was 104 days. On clomid it was 32 days. I kind of saw it as something I needed to do with I wanted to be a mum.

    Good luck

Thanks manhattan! So did the Chinese medicine consist of anything else other than acupuncture? I'm scared of the needles but I think I'd rather try that before prescription medicine. Did they put you on any other supplements?

    Thanks!
