ovulation pain?

what does it feel like? is it like period pain or??? its probably dif for everyone but i have no idea lol

for me it's quite different from AF cramps. for AF i get like a dull ache across my lower belly but ovulation pain is a sharper pain, usually just on the one side of my lower belly. where AF cramps are more constant, my O pains are just every so often.

I haven't had ovulation pain in quite some time, but I remember it well. It was very sharp stabbing pain in one side. I didn't get AF type cramps. It was much more a constant pain.

i got pain around my ovaried when i fell pregnant with this one.. its a sharp pain and it hurt like hell. kept changing from side to side.

thanks for your replies.. reason i asked is because i had some period type cramping that i get every mth somewhere in the cycle but havnt really paid attention to where before and was just wondering if it could be related.. i wouldnt have thought i would o so early in my cycle (9 days since last day of period) wanting to concieve a baby boy (i know it probably wont happen that way lol) i am just trying to figure out my o patterns..

my O pain is really distinctive. it is a really intense stabbing pain in the general ovary area (usually my right side). sometimes it is so intense i can't move, sit or breathe! it usually last a day like this and then the day after is a dull thumping pain...

My O pain was never anything like AF pain. It was a sharp pain on just one side and happened the day of O for several hours. I never noticed it until until last year.

My first ovulation off the pill was very similar to AF

I got pretty bad lower back cramps (which is normally only an AF side effect!!) the and side lower abdomen pain

I always could tell when I was ovulating. I would get AF type pain mid cycle and sometimes it would last all the way to AF arrived. Although AF pain was much more intense. My O pain was a lot more subtle, more like an ache an usually on one side. I always felt my right ovary more so than my left too.
I did OPK's and when I got a positive I also had the O pain so I know that is what it was. That month we feel pregnant, first time trying so listen to your body maybe have a note in your diary of anything you notice then you will start to see a pattern.

I've had my first ovulation after going off the pill two weeks ago. I forgot how uncomfortable it is! To me it's one sided and spasmodic. It has coincided with clear white mucus too. I am trying to conceive next cycle so at least I have an idea when the best time to try is.
